Recruitment is a crucial managerial responsibility, as the outcome may need to be ‘lived with’ for some considerable time!
Our highly practical two-day course encourages prospective interviewers to avoid the all too common ‘knee jerk’ reaction that frequently follows a resignation. Attendees will be invited to view resignations as opportunities and to take a more considered view of the possible alternatives.
Ensuring that there is a 'good fit' between the job applicant and the organisation is essential. The course will assist participants in highlighting the key attitudes and behaviours that their organisation believes are critical in improving their market position. Throughout the two skills practise sessions participants will be challenged to uncover hard evidence that prospective employees embody these behaviours.
Participants will have the opportunity to practice their competency based interviewing skills on two different candidates who are engaged through local recruitment specialists. These interviews are recorded via close circuit television and the recorded material is then used during a comprehensive feedback session. Courses are tailored to integrate company standards such as core competencies and, in addition, the value of psychometric testing will be discussed.
